First Night 2014

New Years Eve
2013-2014
St Petersburg rings in the New Year with music, dancing, fireworks, bubbles, and more!  The 21st Annual New Years Eve event started at 4pm and ran till a little after midnight.
Fireworks were at 8pm and 12am.
The older 3 kids had gone with their gramma a few years ago and I had been to First Night the first year I was in St Pete, like 15 yrs ago now (WOW!). We wanted to do something for New Years but the beach seemed like too much work for me this year. In order to make it out to the beach and get a good spot we would have had to leave mid afternoon and it was already 6pm  by the time I decided we should actually go out and do something. I was afraid Downtown St Pete was going to be packed but we found pretty good parking over by the Dali Museum and walked over by the Pier where the fireworks were going to be. They had fog bubbles which were the best thing ever! I am going to have to make some cause the kids loved them! Hours of entertainment! This year the theme was avaiation and there was a huge old plane
It was a bit cold out but the kids had a good time.
Free and family friendly event!

The girls wanted to dress up for New Years.

Best idea EVER! They could have and would have hung out there all night chasing fog bubbles.
