The Book with No Pictures {reading}

I am excited to have the opportunity to review this book. I have seen it elsewhere and have wanted to share it with the kids.

This book was such a fun book!  I loved that there were no pictures. Garrett had to read through it and actually sound out the words he didn't know without being able to look at pictures to help him. It also kept his interest because most of the words he didn't fully know were the funnier words and he laughed everytime he sounded them out.

About the book: "This innovative and wildly funny read-aloud will be the Must Have book of the season
This innovative and wildly funny read-aloud will be the Must Have book of the season

You might think a book with no pictures seems boring and serious. Except…here’s how books work. Everything written on the page has to be said by the person reading it aloud. Even if the words say…

BLORK. Or BLUURF.

Even if the words are a preposterous song about eating ants for breakfast, or just a list of astonishingly goofy sounds like BLAGGITY BLAGGITY and GLIBBITY GLOBBITY.

Cleverly irreverent and irresistibly silly, The Book with No Pictures is one that kids will beg to hear again and again. (And parents will be happy to oblige.)"
