Friday the 13th! Closer to Halloween!

Today is Friday the 13th! :) Which means it is 47 days till Halloween!! We started looking for Halloween costumes this week. Trying to get ideas. Usually the boys are scary things....zombies, monsters, and vampires, etc and the girls are princesses and fairies. This year I wanted to try to find a themeish. The girls were talking about being witches so after a few hours of searching both online and in person I think we have it.

But instead of just the regular Wizard of Oz we are going to do it a little scary. I was able to find some inspiration on Pinterest, of course! We are going to purchase parts of the costumes and add and make other parts. 

Emmaleigh (3) will be the Good Witch. 

We are going to make the dress a little longer and fuller and add some more sparkles and stuff on the tutu. 

Tierney (9) is going to be the Wicked Witch. 

We are going to do her makeup scary and the tutu will be a little darker. 

Garrett (5) will be a zombie-ish Tin Man. 

Ben (11) is going as the Cowardly Lion, also zombie-ish.

And Glenn (12) is the scary Scarecrow. 

We love Halloween!! 

Tierneys birthday is also on Halloween so she is already trying to figure out what she wants to do. 

We are going to start making tutus this weekend and getting together what we need for each costume. The kids love to be able to help out in making their own costumes. 

Anyone else start costume hunting yet?
