Playing Unplugged #local #Largo



Enjoy the great outdoors and all that Florida weather has to offer. Turn off the TV's, games, and phones, and head out to Playing Unplugged. This is a FREE family event. There will be over 10 play spaces for kids to explore, create, and build. Play spaces include active play, archery, and an infant/toddler zone. There will also be a live entertainment, food vendors, and train rides on Largo Central's Railroad. The Boy Scouts of America will be out there to assist children with zip lining and tree climbing!
The event will also have a variety of hands on activates where kids can make their own play stations from cardboard boxes, buckets, paintbrushes, and much more. Some play spaces are themed as adventure, dance, art and construction. 
This years event will take place on April 26th from 10 am - 3 pm. This is the 3rd year for this event hosted by the City of Largo Recrecation, Parks, and Arts Department and local businesses. This year there will also be a live presentation by Randi Zuckerberg, the Founder and CEO of Zuckerberg Media and Author of adult non-fiction book, Dot Complicated and children's picture book, Dot.

Playing Unplugged....Just What the Doctor Ordered is teaming with with medical professionals and local businesses to help emphasize the importance of free play and creativity in kids.


Event is free and there is limited on site parking.
Additional parking will be available at the Largo Middle and Largo High Schools with crossing guards at the major intersections.
