101 THINGS EVERY GIRL SHOULD KNOW
When I pick out books for the kids I try to find ones they can relate to, 101 Thing Every Girl Should Know is just that. Its about how to make lip balm, baking, formal ways to set a table and a few life lessons on boys and relationships. It also mentions periods so make sure you and your daughter have had some kind of talk, or use this book as a way to start that discussion. I have not had that talk with my oldest daughter yet but will be using this to supplement our talks. The book is written well and my daughter has started reading it. So far so good. She likes it and it has held her interest so far. I think this can be a book little girls can keep and reference back to anytime. It does contain alot of information, 101 things!
About the book: The editors of Faithgirlz! and Girls' Life have collected their best advice to help girls take charge and feel confident in a variety of situations, from changing a bike tire to talking to a teacher about a bad grade to handling bullies. With problem-solving strategies, tips, and humor, this is a book every girl needs.
