Universal's Volcano Bay will be open May 25, 2017
30 acres of fun and adventure! Unique attractions so there will no doubt be something for everyone. This is what we need! Having a larger family, with kids ranging from 7 to 16, we like to do things that are fun for all. From wave pools to beaches with white sands, and a winding lazy river you will have plenty of opportunity to relax after spending time on the volcano slides. Multi rider rafts, and speedy body slides are sure to be a favorite. And to make things go along smoothly and quickly, you wont have to wait long in lines. *(see below)

The Krakatau Aqua Coaster is sure to be one of the main attractions as it is a 200 foot volcano! The ride combines water park fun with innovative ride technology for sure to remember thrills. As you get on board canoes you are propelled up and down the volcanos peaks and valleys. You will twist and turn down a dark passage and launch into refreshing waterfalls.

Universal is using some of the incredible technology that makes its theme park attractions so compelling to create a first-of-its-kind aqua coaster in Florida. The attraction will use linear induction motor technology, which launches the canoe uphill before it immediately sends riders into a downhill plunge. This technology – combined with the immersive theming Universal is known for – will make Krakatau Aqua Coaster a unique water theme park attraction that’s fun for the entire family.

* TapuTapu Wearable Will Redefine the Queue Experience – Less Time Waiting in Lines, More Time Having Fun. Universal’s Volcano Bay will debut a new technology, the TapuTapu wearable, designed to make the guest experience throughout the entire park as hassle-free and fun-filled as possible."
As part of admission, you will receive a TapuTapu wearable upon arrival to the park that allow you to do the following with a simple tap:
Virtual Lines. You will be able to virtually wait in line and play in other areas of the park. The wearable will alert when it is time for your ride and you just head over.
Tap to Play. All specially designed for unique experiences throughout Volcano Bay. As you walk through the park you will be able to trigger special effects like controlling streams of water from whales in the Tot Tiki Reef and shooting water cannons at other guests coming down the Koliko Wai Winding River. Also make sure you look for illuminated images that are hidden in the caves.
