Food #SocialSunday

This weeks questions:

1. If you could only eat one thing for the rest of your life, what would it be?     Pasta. I have always loved spaghetti. Always!!

2. What’s your guilty pleasure/comfort food?     Salt and Vinegar chips! Lance has the best but I can not find them very often. Very sad!!
The BEST Chips EVER!
3. What’s the weirdest/craziest thing you’ve ever eaten?     Frog Legs. I ate some with my dad in Key West when I was younger. Herring I used to love. That was also an influence from my father. And Gator tail nuggets from RJ Gators when I was younger.

4. What foods do you avoid at all costs?     Liver and Onions! YUCK! My uncle made me eat a plate once when we were on vacation. Him and my mom loved them. I dont know why I had to eat it but gross! Never again!

5. What meal reminds you of your childhood?     Pasta. My gramma used to make it for me all the time when we lived with my grandparents. My mom cooked it for me all the time and she used to make cabbage rolls. Jell-O because once I was sick for weeks and could only drink Jell-O water.

6. Share one of your favorite recipes and the story behind it.     Lemon Chicken. Its very easy to make. I don't have an actual recipe but my mom used to make it often. Bake chicken (you can use whole or pieces) in the oven as normal. I like to wrap mine in foil with butter and fresh lemon juice. And if you wrap it the clean up is much easier. Cook spaghetti, drain, add lemon, salt, pepper, and fresh lemon juice. Let sit for about 3-5 minutes. Thats about it. :)

  3. Liver is just disgusting. My mom made this awful liver fricasee in a gravy with carrots. I still shudder just thinking about it!! But it's actually very good in dumplings for soup! The lemon chicken recipe sounds awesome, I might try it for the family some time!
