Redbox Instant #Review

The kids and I will go out and pick up a movie from Redbox about once a week so when I was asked to use and review Redbox Instant I was definitely on board! We like to have a little movie night about once a week so not having to stop on the way home or go out once we were all home seemed like it would be easier.
The best feature I think for Redbox Instant was the ability to rent streaming instant or pick up at the kiosk. The price is only $8.00 a month so that was about average compared to Hulu and Netflix.  And you do get 4 dvd credits every month.
Sign up was simple. Just enter basic information (name, email, cc, etc) and you were on your way. Browsing the selection was pretty simple. The only downfall to browsing that I found was that you had to pay attention to whether you were browsing in "Kiosk" or "Subscription". If you were just browsing without paying attention and wanted to watch something instant and then come to realize it was a kiosk only was a little frustrating, especially for the kids when they were wandering around looking for whatever caught their attention.

App was a quick and easy download. We downloaded the Kindle Fire app to my daughters Kindle. She was instantly able to browse and watch movies. Again, the only issue was paying attention to browsing under "Kiosk" vs "Subscription". Alot of the movies she wanted to watch were only available at the kiosk.

Content was a major issue also. There were alot of newer movies available but most of the newer ones were kiosk pick ups. I would have like a bigger and better selection of available movies for instant. Sadly, compared to Netflix...or even Hulu, there is a limited selection on content. I was very happy with the content that was available to pick up at the kiosks, just not the streaming.

End results....Will I keep it? Will we cancel? HOPEFULLY they will add more soon because I did like the ability to have streaming and pick up available. I did cancel the current subscription once our trial was up but will be watching for content updates.
