Hugo the Happy Starfish - Curiosity #Review

Disclosure: I got this product as part of an advertorial.

Again we meet up with Hugo the awesomely happy starfish. Coincidentally enough my middle son was at the beach last week and found a starfish! He is now at home with us in a new salt water tank. We have yet to name him but Hugo is sounding like a good choice.
My sons starfish
My kids and I were given Hugo the Happy Starfish:  The Real World and again we were completely happy with it. We had received Hugo the Happy Starfish: The Secret to Happiness last time and it was great they way it talked about real life situations. We purchased this book on my oldest daughters Kindle and the whole process took less than 5 minutes before she was able to read it. The colors are bright and the characters are totally relate-able.
Again, with this review I don't want to give out too much information on the book and the ending but I do want to give the overall idea of it.
Join Hugo on his adventures and he finds out that Happiness begins with Curiosity!
On the Island of Curiosity, Hugo and his friends are captured by a pirate who wants to take away their curiosity and happiness. The little starfish sets his imagination on GO and manages to convince the pirate to become their friend.
Hugo longs to visit the real world even though is home is at the bottom of the big ocean. He decides to go and find his way. His journey to happiness does not turn out as he plans though and he is sent to a series of different islands where he is taught important life lessons. By the end of his journey, Hugo has visited fourteen islands and made many more friends.
The most important things he learns is how to be a better starfish.

Please make sure to head over for the other books available. The Last Bully I think will be next on the download list. With so many kids having issues with bullying I think it is something that needs to be talked about more with children and so they can relate to it better.

I received one or more of the products mentioned above for free using Tomoson.com. Regardless, I only recommend products or services I use personally and believe will be good for my readers.

  6. Oh cool that your son found a starfish. I've never seen one at the beach, but I did find a rather large crab once washed up on the shore of a beach. The starfish looks so tiny in his hands :)
