This weekend is the Firestone Grand Prix of St Petersburg. It is March 28-30th. The Grand Prix of St Pete is run on a 1.8 mile, 14 turn waterfront circuit. The track goes through Downtown St Pete near the Salvador Dali Museum and through Albert Whitted Airport. We have gone a few times in previous years but I think we are going to pass this year. We will be at the Illuminated Night Parade on Thursday, March 27th in Downtown St Pete.
Friday: 8am - 6pm
Saturday: 8am - 6pm
Sunday: 8am - 5pm

March 28 - 30
In addition to the race there are other family friendly events including:
WISH for OUR HEROS (W40H) and Hero Zone, a national charitable organization that allows men and women of the United States Military to improve the quality of their family lives while at home or on deployment. In addition to sending active duty military to the race, W40H will have a popular Hero Zone, a free, interactive military obstacle course designed by our troops for children of all ages. Bring your kids and test out their skills on the same obstacles the troops face in basic training. The Hero Zone is located inside Gate 1, next to the Speed Zone.

The Bright House Networks Speed Zone, with activities for all. Caricature, artists, Boxer Jocks, Rock Climbing Wall, Mechanical Bull, Pit Stop Challenge, Gyroscope, and Official Firestone Grand Prix of St Petersburg and INDYCar merchandise kiosks.

Ferris Wheel, is back for a good cause. The Firestone Grand Prix of St Pete has partnered with the Alzheimer's Association, Florida Gulf Coast Chapter. All in honor of the late Dan Wheldon. His wife Susie and sons Sebastian and Oliver are strong supporters of the Alzheimer's Association and their efforts to educate the community and find a cure for Alzheimer's.
Proceeds from the purchase of the ride on the 80 foot Ferris wheel go directly to the Alzheimer's Association in Dan's memory.
