A Beautiful Mess Happy Handmade Home #review

I received a copy of A Beautiful Mess Happy Handmade Home and read it cover to cover right away. I am a huge fan of DIY so I was excited to get this book. I also do alot during the holidays and leading up so I was hoping this book would give me a few awesome ideas. My oldest daughter also loves DIY and making things so I was able to share this book with her.

The book quality itself is great. 235 pages full of ideas, pictures, and stories. I loved the photography and the stories throughout the book. You can easily make your way through the living room, the bedrooms, and into the kitchens with the DIY ideas.  From easy to make Yarn Pillows to a Flower Vase 9 Ways. There are ideas that can be made into great hostess gifts for the upcoming holidays. There are also everyday ideas for kids Playtime Blanket and letter Accent Art.

Overall the quality of the book is good. The pictures are clear and easy to see. The instructions are easy to understand and clearly written out. There are also ideas throughout the book for hosting dinner parties and recipes to go along with certain events and rooms. Honestly, I would have to say the only real downfall was that the book, while it offered DIY, it a little younger feeling, Maybe more for beginner DIY'ers.  Not all, but a decent amount of the tutorials and ideas were fairly simple and things I could have or already have thought of.
We keep this book on the bookshelves and it is a nice book to have on hand for a little refresher. I think sometimes DIY'ers need to step back and go through the simple, basics every now and again to get even more inspiration. I think this would be a good addition to a DIY collection or as a host gift.
