Time in a Box {usfg}

May 01, 2015

Most parents wish they could incorporate even a little more time into their days, time to spend with their kids. And kids love to play, games and with toys. FoxMind has come up with a way to give you a little extra time. Time In A Box is just what it says, a little extra time in a box! The game has 96 cards that give you ideas and tasks on ways to spend time with your kids. There are things like solve a puzzle, visit a fire station, and build a blanket fort. This games gives you and your children a chance to explore world around you and your own home. I let each of the kids pick a card for the day and we went on our adventures. They loved not knowing what we were going to be doing but knew that we were going to be doing something together. They really had a good time and it is definitely a game you can use over and over.
When the weather was not ideal or we picked a card later in the evening and it wasn't something doable at that moment we used our imagination. My youngest son picked out the Visit A Fire Station but it was about 7pm so we ended up building our own and acting out fire calls. He loved it! My kids are ages 5 thru 14 and there was a way that they could each join in.
