Finding Waterfalls at High Falls State Park

So here we are, on our way to Gatlinburg Tennessee and we found this park not too far into Georgia. I originally found the park on the RoadTrippers app, you can locate parks, points of interest, and attractions from your location. 
High Falls State Park is amazing! The skies were a little overcast but a waterfall is a waterfall. There is an open area to the north of the parking lot. From there you can see the small dam. There are some picnic tables throughout, there must have been at least a dozen. Some of the tables were covered. There are also grills available, which is good to know for next time we are up that way. The park also has a small playground with a slide and monkey bars. The bathrooms are just to the south of the parking lot. They were big and clean. 

Once the kids were done playing we headed over to the trail area. It is a wooden path that leads you right to the waterfall. There were some areas that I would suggest a good parental supervision because the railings were not throughout the whole path. With the water right there it could potentially be an issue. 
We spent a little over an hour at the park. If we weren't driving up to Tennessee we could have easily spent a few hours there walking the trails and letting the kids play.
