Give a Gift Card, Change a Life While Spring Cleaning

This month Compassion Bloggers is excited to share a new idea with you – CardFunder
From the CardFunder site:
Crowd Funding has become a powerful tool in helping people around the world raise money to pursue their passions. Compassion is introducing an entirely new take on that idea-CardFunding. Thanks to an innovative corporate partnership, Compassion has the opportunity to collect new, unused and partially used gift cards and turn them into funding for our mission-helping children around the world escape poverty.

Revelation 21:5.

Revelation 21:5New International Version (NIV)

He who was seated on the throne said, “I am making everything new!”Then he said, “Write this down, for these words are trustworthy and true.”
Spring brings a newness, a regrowth of flowers, the same goes for people. Spring is usually a time we all do a good cleaning, a good reorganization of our stuff, of our lives. Make things new again, even if they aren't really new. While going through our annual Spring cleaning I always find things we haven't used in a while so they are things that are just adding clutter to our home, which is clutter in our lives. Boxes of crayons, clothes that don't fit and are hanging in the back of the closets, old cell phones, cameras, and gift cards. Maybe it is time to just give it all back. We have a food drive coming up tomorrow with the US Post Office so we are filling up 2 bags with canned and boxed goods. I have 4 bags of clothes ready to go to GoodWill or some other local charity. The old cell phones are being divided up between Verizons Hopeline and CellPhones for Soldiers. And the giftcards are going to CardFunder.

CardFunder allows unused giftcards to go where they are most needed, to the children!

How much have you gotten rid of during Spring cleaning?
