Waterparks With Younger Kids // CoCo Key Orlando
We ended up leaving late on Friday night, later than expected, so we got stuck in traffic. We did not get to check in until closer to 8 but that was fine because we were kinda ready to just hang out, eat, and get ready for the day ahead of us.
We were staying in the taller building, towards the middle of the lot. The room we were in was very clean and bright. Everything worked fine and we had no issues with anything. Em slept great! -as you can see.
Once we all were up, we headed off the property for breakfast and then back to spend a few hours in the water. There are life jackets available for the younger kids and they did not affect the swimming or movements at all. There are 3 areas with different pools and activties. We started off in the middle area where there was a smaller slide. I wanted the younger 2 to work their way up to the bigger ones.
After they went down the slides about 6/7 times we made our way over to the larger areas. This area is big and open with a few different slide options. 2 included raft slides and the other were just normal water slides of different sizes and turns. Em and Garrett loved all of the options. Em was non-stop around the outside/larger area. Tierney and Brandon went on the 2 larger slides with rafts but Garrett and Em did not. They did not even notice they were missing out because there were so many other options for them.
After about an hour of slides and more slides the kids went into the shallower water area. There they had the chance to slide down a few smaller, more straight slides and play under different fountains and sprayers.
Overall we all had a great time. The room we stayed in was clean and well kept. I did notice that some of the other rooms in other buildings did not seem as nice so I am not sure if they just put more work into the main building or what the deal is. I did like that there were rooms right off the waterpark area. It would be a great option to stay in one of those if you were planning on staying a full day or a few days because it makes it easy to take a break off and on.
I really liked that the younger kids had so much to do and the older ones could do both the smaller areas and the larger. The water was all clean and clear. The lifeguards were available and attentive in all areas that we were in.
Would we stay there again? Yes we would! For the price it is a good stay, its not 5 star but to be honest we were going more for the waterpark than the rooms. If we are looking for a local little getaway this would be one of the places we would go. The kids all said they had a good time and wanted to go back again.
